Want to study energy transport / heat flux in detail? FHF04 is the latest standard model for general-purpose heat flux measurement. Significantly thinner and more flexible, FHF04 replaces earlier models FHF01 and FHF02. FHF04 is very versatile: it has an integrated temperature sensor and thermal spreaders to reduce thermal conductivity dependence. It is applicable over a temperature range from –70 to +120 °C. FHF04 measures heat flux from conduction, radiation and convection. Optionally, black BLK and gold GLD stickers are available to separately determine heat transport by radiation and convection.

All FHF05’s are flexible, have an integrated temperature sensor and have thermal spreaders to reduce thermal conductivity dependence. Rated temperature range is from –70 to +120 °C. FHF05 measures heat flux from conduction, radiation and convection. Optionally, black BLK and gold GLD stickers are available for all five models to separately determine heat transport by radiation and convection. HFP01 is the world’s most popular sensor for heat flux measurement in the soil as well as through walls and building envelopes. The total thermal resistance is kept small by using a ceramics-plastic composite body. The sensor is very robust and stable. It is suitable for long term use on one location as well as repeated installation when a measuring system is used at multiple locations. If measuring in soil, in case a more accurate measurement is needed the model HFP01SC should be considered.

HFP01SC self-calibrating heat flux sensor™ is a heat flux sensor for use in the soil. It offers the best available accuracy and quality assurance of the measurement. The on-line self-test verifies the stable performance and good thermal contact of sensors that are buried and cannot be visually inspected and taken to the laboratory for recalibration. The self-test also includes self-calibration which compensates for measurement errors caused by the thermal conductivity of the surrounding soil (which varies with soil moisture content), for sensor non-stability and for temperature dependence.

HFP03 is an ultra sensitive sensor for measurement of small heat fluxes in the soil as well as through walls and building envelopes. SR05 is a solar radiation sensor that is applied in most common solar radiation observations. Model version SR05-A1 complies with the spectrally flat Class C specifications of the ISO 9060 standard, and offers analogue millivolt output. LI19 is a high accuracy handheld read-out unit / datalogger. The SR05-LI19 combination is well suited for mobile measurements and short term datalogging. LI19 displays the measured radiation and stores measured data. Once programmed with the sensitivity of SR05, the display will show the actual value of the solar radiation in W/m².

TRSYS01 is a high-accuracy system for on-site measurement of thermal resistance, R, thermal conductance, the Λ-value, and thermal transmittance, the U-value, of building envelopes. TRSYS01 is mostly used for measurements according to standard practices of ISO 9869 and ASTM C1155 / C1046. The system is equipped with high-accuracy electronics, two heat flux sensors of model HFP01 as well as two pairs of matched thermocouples. The two measurement locations provide redundancy, leading to a high level of confidence in the measurement result. The high accuracy of the heat flux sensors and temperature difference measurements ensures that TRSYS01 continues measuring when other systems no longer perform; in particular at very low temperature differences across the wall.
