• TRSYS01 heat flux measuring system

High-accuracy heat flux measuring system with 2 measurement locations

TRSYS01 is a high-accuracy system for on-site measurement of thermal resistance, R, thermal conductance, the Λ-value, and thermal transmittance, the U-value, of building envelopes. TRSYS01 is mostly used for measurements according to standard practices of ISO 9869 and ASTM C1155 / C1046. The system is equipped with high-accuracy electronics, two heat flux sensors of model HFP01 as well as two pairs of matched thermocouples. The two measurement locations provide redundancy, leading to a high level of confidence in the measurement result. The high accuracy of the heat flux sensors and temperature difference measurements ensures that TRSYS01 continues measuring when other systems no longer perform; in particular at very low-temperature differences across the wall.

    • Continues measuring when others give up: high sensitivity amplifier + high sensitivity sensors
  • TCOMSYS01 Hot Cube

Thermal comfort measuring system - a new tool for research and education

TCOMSYS01 is a measuring system to help understand and quantify “causes and effects” leading to human thermal comfort. The TCOM01 body is temperature stabilized at 33 °C so that it offers a relatively direct measurement of the human experience. In essence, TCOM01 is a miniature thermal mannequin, measuring according to the innovative Hot Cube method. The heater power required to keep the TCOM01 at a constant temperature is the main measurand. Incorporating 5 heat flux sensors with a black absorber also offers a detailed picture of the heat gain and loss from different directions, and a good indication of convective and radiative asymmetry. Other measurements are sensor body temperature, air temperature, and relative humidity. In its standard configuration, the system consists of an MCU (Measurement and Control Unit) and a TCOM01 sensor. The MCU offers a direct connection to any local area network and “Ethernet over USB”. TCOM01 is also available as a sensor only.

  • BLK – GLD Sticker Series

Black and gold stickers for measuring convective and radiative heat flux separately

Want to study energy transport / heat flux in detail? Hukseflux helps taking your measurement to the next level: provide your heat flux sensors with radiation-absorbing black and radiation-reflecting gold stickers. You can then measure convective + radiative flux with one, and convective flux only with the other. Subtract the two measurements and you have radiative flux. GLD and BLK stickers are available for sensor models FHF04, FHF04SC, FHF03 and HFP01. They are designed to be applied by the user to the sensor; see the user manual and installation video for instructions.
